Show Distro Privacy Notice
Effective August 24, 2026 · United States founding beta
Who handles information
Show Distro is a product of Mainframe Events LLC, 27865 NW Dairy Creek Road, North Plains, Oregon 97133, United States. Questions and privacy requests: support@showdistro.com.
Local by default
Decks, slides, notes, scripts, screen and camera images, contacts, and Director messages are not collected as beta telemetry. Manual teleprompter operation remains on the show network.
Information we handle
Enrollment uses the license holder's name, email, state, consent record, license and delivery details. To assign the licensed Control, Main, and Backup roles, Show Distro sends a one-way pseudonymous device key, assigned role, app version, and enrollment/check timestamps. It does not send a hardware serial number, MAC address, or computer name for this purpose. The signed device receipt works offline for up to 45 days, enrollment and renewal occur outside an active show, and a licensing-service failure does not stop show operation. Optional telemetry contains a separate pseudonymous installation identifier, license identifier, app version, platform and limited first-launch, activation, and Show Queue events. Feedback contains the message the operator deliberately submits, the selected control and window, app version, platform and architecture, a pseudonymous installation identifier, the beta license identifier when installed, and a one-way network-source hash used to limit abuse. Support communications contain what the sender provides. If an operator connects Box, the connected service handles encrypted authorization credentials, the Box user identifier, account name and login, and selected folder or file identifiers, names, versions, sizes, and checksums needed to reconcile that connection.
Show content stays local
Show Distro builds section maps from slide structure, presenter notes, and explicit script headings on the show machine. It does not send decks, scripts, or presenter notes to a model service. When Box is connected, a selected presentation file is delivered from Box to the operator's Mac through short-lived, file-scoped access; the connected service does not use that presentation content for model processing. Local copies remain under the operator's control, and Box is not required for showtime operation.
Service providers
Show Distro may use Cloudflare for hosting, security, and database services; Box when an operator chooses to connect it; an email delivery provider; Apple platform services; and signed-update hosting. Information is provided only as needed to perform those services. The founding beta does not collect payment information.
Retention
The retention engine is enabled, but every deletion schedule is separately approval-gated. Approval-gated controls can enforce an approved policy automatically and preserve legal holds. Current planning periods are 90 days for optional telemetry; one year after resolution for feedback; one year for routine security logs; 30 days after expiry for unused invitations; and seven years after closure for license, acceptance, delivery, transaction, and tax records. Until a specific period is approved, records in that category may be retained longer.
Your choices
Optional telemetry is off unless selected during enrollment and can be disabled in Show Distro. You may request access, correction or deletion by email. Some records may be retained for transactions, security, legal obligations, claims or legal holds. Mainframe Events LLC does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Security and children
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no system is completely secure. Show Distro is intended for professional operators and is not directed to children under 13.
