Presenter View

Downstage turns the downstage monitor into a purpose-built presenter view. Create presets for each presenter—or each section of the deck. You finally have control of Presenter View.

One show. All the presentations. Total control.

Shape every presenter view, distribute decks to the show machines, and keep the operator and director on the same page.

Technical baseline

Know what the show needs.

Downstage runs on macOS and keeps live operation local. Control, Main, and Backup belong on the same tested private network.

Show MacsMain + Backup

Apple Silicon is recommended for new systems. Choose Macs with enough display outputs for your exact setup.

Show networkOne private wired subnet

Wire Control, Main, Backup, and the Director laptop. Use a tablet only as a secondary view.

Speech inputA clean console feed

Notes and teleprompter tracking run locally. Cloud preparation is optional; the live voice tracker stays on the Mac.

Rehearse the exact rig. Test the Macs, adapters, displays, network, presentation apps, clickers, audio feed, and fallback before the show—then freeze updates.

Help shape Downstage before the public release.

The founding beta is for live-event professionals willing to rehearse the real rig and tell us what happens in the room.

FAQ

Does it need internet at showtime?

No. Once the show is prepared, licensing and show operation work offline. Optional beta telemetry waits until the presentation is over.

Do notes following and teleprompter tracking require cloud processing?

No. Live voice following always runs locally. Short notes work immediately, capable Macs can prepare longer scripts on the machine, and optional cloud preparation can improve difficult long-form material.

How many machines can I install on?

One founding-beta key covers a Main show Mac and its Backup.

What platforms does it run on?

Downstage runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It controls presentations through separately installed Keynote or PowerPoint applications and plays PDFs directly.

How do I get a beta key or send feedback?

Email support@downstage.technology to request access. During the beta, press Command–Shift–F in Downstage to send feedback after the active presentation ends.
